Chennai-based neuro physician, Dr A. Paneer, has been appointed as honorary physician to the President of India with effect from June 29. He is a former head of the Department of the Government Stanley Medical College in Chennai and is currently a senior consultant neurologist at Apollo Hospital and the Southern Railway Hospital. A specialist in migraine management, Dr Paneer had established the Chennai Migraine Centre in 1992.
